Media Production

Media Production (Videography and Photography) and Entrepreneurship

Practical Visual Storytelling and Business for Today’s Content Economy

Introduction

In Nigeria’s media-rich, creator-driven economy, content is currency—but only if it’s well-crafted, visually sound, and ready for market. From Abuja to Asaba, individuals and businesses are in constant need of quality video and photography—from event coverage to branded reels, documentaries, and social explainers.

This course is practical, technical, and entrepreneurial. It is built for those who want to do the work—learn to shoot, edit, produce, deliver, and sell media content using cameras or mobile phones. Participants walk away not just with skills, but with real outputs: edited videos, professional photos, and a working business plan for their media brand.

Course Overview

This is a studio-style, production-first course focused on the tools, techniques, and workflows of modern media production. You’ll learn how to shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality photo and video content across commercial, social, and creative formats.

Core to the course is a full immersion in:

  • Videography: shooting, directing, lighting, sound, editing
  • Photography: DSLR and mobile shooting, framing, retouching
  • Phone Production: using Android/iOS phones for professional content
